Nature Walk 10/2/11

Here are a few shots from our nature walk yesterday at Teatown Lake reservation in Croton-on-Hudson, NY.

Nice rock. Quartz, right?

Elf ladder.

Great day. Finally feels like fall.

Let's see ... no stripe in the middle means long winter? P.S. He bit my daughter!

  1. He bit your daughter? Did it hurt? The pictures are beautiful. Nothing better then a fall nature walk.

  2. Actually, it did hurt! It was like a little nip! And then I remembered that happened to me when I was a kid, and how surprising it is because they're so fuzzy and cute. They're like those cute, little creatures in Galaxy Quest.

  3. ah the beginning of fall, when we get to see the natural beauty around us change colors. Also a great time to go camping. We'd like to invite you to share those CampingMemories with us. Thanks to Maggie for sharing photos of her nature walk, New York looks beautiful and I love the Elf Ladder.

  4. Thanks for stopping by, Eric - I'll make sure to come visit at CampingMemories! And yes, NY is beautiful this time of year.
